Thread is an award winning feature length documentary, which delves into the lives of ten Afghan women.

The news headlines were about the nighmarish reign of the Taliban and the horrific oppression and torture of Afghan women. Thread tells the story of Afghan women rising from the ashes determined to regain their power.

Repurposed Film

Virtually every conference is videotaped.  But then what happens?  Nothing.  The footage is left unseen, unused, destined for the archives.

Hours of video can be transformed into dynamic, punchy, highly useable short pieces.   

This Repurposed Film started as a six-hour conference sponsored by New York’s Citizens Housing and Planning Council and was edited into a short film featured in an exhibit on micro-housing at the Museum of the City of New York.
